Two USVI men plead guilty to possession of cocaine

CHARLOTTE AMALIE, St Thomas, USVI - Tommy Ramirez, 29, of the Dominican Republic and Ramon Clavel, 55, of Haiti, plead guilty today April 18, 2018, in District Court before District Court Judge Curtis V. Gomez, to possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute, United States Attorney, Gretchen C.F. Shappert announced.
Drug convicts want cocaine value reduced before sentence
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Two men convicted on charges of possession of cocaine appeared before the Magistrate’s Court to have the court make a determination of the value of the cocaine they were found with, before sentencing could be passed.
Jefferson Joseph sentenced to 30 months in prison
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Jefferson Joseph, who police allege was in the company of another when he was stopped by a traffic officer and found to be in possession of a loaded firearm and was subsequently slapped with other charges including drug possession, has been sentenced to 30 months in prison.
