In the UK, the Reform Party, a right of center political party and movement, has ascended the ladder of power due to a very poor and even thoughtless UK migration policy.

In late November 2016, the Virgin Islands Commissioner of Police, an exceptionally competent professional in this Old Boy’s opinion, alluded to the links between national safety and the economy. The Commissioner further stated that despite issues of the failure of members of a very small interconnected community, reluctant to report the criminal activity of relatives, the Virgin Islands remained a very safe territory.

An Op Ed of July 18, 2013 in a national Virgin islands weekly was a story headed, "WHERE ARE WE GOING.’’ It was a continuation from a first story, the second part of a two part narrative, the first titled: "TERRITORY’S ECONOMIC HISTORY RECOUNTED.’’ This second story was a lamentation on how the Virgin Islands, "has ended up with a household where her own people are outnumbered.’’ This was a very valid concern by the Virgin Islander.
