Anti-doping bill for USVI horse racing industry now law

FREDERIKSTED, St Croix, USVI- Acting Governor of the US Virgin Islands (USVI) Osbert E. Potter has advised Senate President Myron D. Jackson of the action he has taken on several legislative bills, including measures that should allow a $30 million private investment in the USVI's horse racing industry to move forward.

FREDERIKSTED, St Croix, USVI- The Department of Planning and Natural Resources in a release issued Friday December 29, 2017 made known that it had issued the permits for the Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) to conduct air curtain incineration of debris in the territory.
USVI Gov Kenneth E. Mapp rejects ‘ill-conceived’ EDC residency bill
CHARLOTTE AMALIE, St Thomas, USVI— United States Virgin Islands (USVI) Governor Kenneth E. Mapp vetoed bill no. 31-0292 on Monday Janauary 4, 2015, which would prevent non-residents hired by or owning an EDC beneficiary company from achieving residency status during their period of employment or ownership.
