June 3, 2022 designated VI public holiday for Queen’s Platinum Jubilee
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Cabinet in the Virgin Islands has designated June 3, 2022, as a public holiday to celebrate Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee to mark the 70th year of the Queen’s reign over the United Kingdom (UK) and British colonies.

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Many in the Virgin Islands may have no idea what is St David’s Day, yet it was promoted by the Governor’s Office on March 1, 2021, the same day the territory was observing a public holiday for the Anniversary of the Birth of its visionary first Chief Minister, Hamilton Lavity Stoutt.
‘Make Dec 15, 2020 a public holiday for RT O’Neal OBE’- Hon Turnbull
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- As legislators paid tribute to the late first Premier of the Virgin Islands Hon Ralph T. O’Neal, OBE, at a special sitting of the House of Assembly (HoA) on December 3, 2019, Second District Representative and Opposition Member Hon Melvin M. Turnbull called for the 87th birth anniversary of Hon O’Neal to be made a public holiday.
