Zika cases in USVI rise to 243

CHARLOTTE AMALIE, St Thomas, USVI — The Department of Health in the US Virgin Islands (USVI) late Tuesday August 30, 2016 made known that it recorded 50 news cases of the Zika virus in its latest report, bringing the territory’s total to 243.
Women to foot bill for overseas births under NHI – Skelton
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Pregnant women in the Virgin Islands with hopes of having their babies delivered in hospitals overseas in places such as St Thomas or Florida may have to foot the bill themselves or use an alternative insurance provider once the mandatory National Health Insurance (NHI) Programme comes on stream later this year.
