VI to launch new 911 Computer-Aided Dispatch system on Sept 11
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- A new 911 Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) system for the Virgin Islands is set to come on stream on Thursday, September 11, 2025, as part of efforts to strengthen emergency response services in the territory.

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - Minister for Health and Social Development Honourable Ronnie W. Skelton (AL) has welcomed the addition of two new ambulances to the BVI Health Services Authority (BVIHSA) but stressed that more importantly persons should place emphasis on getting the sick to access needed health care should no ambulance be available at any given time.
UPDATE: Valve explosion caused chlorine leak at water plant -MCW Minister
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - It was a valve that had exploded while it was being opened by an employee that caused the chlorine leak at the Baugher's Bay Desalination Plant on February 6, 2013.
