A growing lamentation, and a cry, that the country is changing from under the feet of the indigenous Virgin Islander: that the Virgin Islander is a threatened minority, an ENDANGERED SPECIES in their own country so to speak

For years here in The Virgin Islands there is a continuous conversation by so many people in regards to children being born in this Territory by expatriate parents and about the length of time that so many expatriate have been here and cannot get Belongers Status. So while this conversation continues I will list a number of Rights & Privileges to add to this conversation.
Caller: Virgin Islanders capable of creating their own jobs
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - Annoyed by the constant complaints made by unemployed Virgin Islanders who can’t get a job, one caller on Speak Out BVI says the people of the Territory can create their own jobs but some of them are lazy.
Let us talk Independence

As this Territory hopefully moves forward, and life and things evolve, and the world continues to be referred by many as a Global Village, we as Virgin Islanders must take responsibility for our area of this Global Village and in the process consider very seriously the issue of an independent Virgin Islands. With this in mind, it is important that we begin to have open and intelligent conversations on the pros and cons of independence.
Are VIslanders united or divided?
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – The perception that Virgin Islanders are allegedly oppressing and victimising each other are viewed as a social ill in the Virgin Islands' society, which can only get worse unless politicians stop burying their heads in the sand and help the poor people.

Government should reserve jobs for Virgin Islanders - Wheatley
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - Virgin Islanders have expressed their concerns in relation to the job shortage existing within their territory and are irritated by the fact that individuals coming from other islands or countries seem to be finding employment while there is a high unemployment rate among Virgin Islanders.
Caller: If you do not like it here, go home!
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - A female caller to the television talk show, ‘Speak Your Mind’ aired on JTV Channel 55 hosted by Courtney de Castro with co-host Julio Sam Henry, told the show’s audience, if expatriate persons living and working in the Virgin Islands, “do not like it here, they should go home”.
Only "Virgin Islanders" should be allowed to vote on referendums?
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- If at some point the Virgin Islands decides to have a referendum or plebiscite on whether or not the Territory should become an independent country, who should be allowed to vote? Virgin Islanders or citizens?
