PASEA ESTATE, Tortola, VI- Many persons heading in to work in Road Town using the westbound carriageway of James Walter Francis Drive may have had a similar excuse for turning up to work late this morning, March 14, 2023.

Traffic on that section of the dual carriageway was reduced to a crawl due to a fenderbender that occurred around 8:00 AM.

A vehicle slammed into the back of another in the vicinity of the traffic lights at Pasea Estate.

With traffic reduced to a single lane during rush hour, vehicles were backed up all the way to Fish Bay.

Police arrived on the scene and subsequently had the vehicles removed from the roadway, to allow traffic to freely flow.

No one was reported injured.

The police initially also parked on the road, and then took a long time to paint their lines on the road and move the vehicles.

      1. PAY ATTENTION while driving by looking in front, side mirrors, rear view (a vehicle may driving close behind you, a vehicle may be heading down the other lane on the highway or coming in your direction on the single lane so careful not to overtake at the same time

      2. Keep as far enough from the vehicle in front that you can see where their back tires meet the road and that includes when you come to a complete stop (QUIT EDGING UP CLOSER)

      3. INDICATE, INDICATE, INDICATE

      4. Do NOT make sudden stops and STOP PICKING UP PASSENGERS ON YHE HIGHWAY ESPECIALLY BOTH LANES UP/DOWN ACROSS FROM ONEMART AND BY THE POST OFFICE

Is there any evidence that somebody was using a phone?
