Female teacher goes berserk on son's stepmom @ funeral
According to reports reaching our newsroom, the disruption was allegedly started by a female school teacher who accused the stepmother of her son of provoking her while they were close to each other at the funeral.
Further information reaching Virgin Islands News Online (VINO) is that the teacher was already upset over reports her son was allegedly hit by the stepmom.
Harsh words were exchanged and a brawl almost ensued; however, persons intervened, according to reports.
It is also said that the Acting Premier Hon Carvin Malone (AL) and Education Minister, Hon Natalio D. Wheatley (R7) were also at the funeral.
Persons who witnessed the altercation have criticised the two adults for "disrespecting the family of the deceased" and behaving disorderly in a church.
The mele involving the teacher does not help the already harsh criticisms teachers have been receiving since news broke that a teacher at Ivan Dawson Primary School in Cane Garden Bay gave a child to gargle Pine-Sol for using indecent language.

Of All Places to bring baby momma drama, you gon carry it to a funeral???
i sure my grandmother rolling in her grave now.
At least that is the consensus of parents who values their children . They are also selective about the company their children keep so if u do not understand or comprehend this rationale, I wont judge you.
Do you not know that teachers are to lead by example?
Do you think that you could go to the USA to teach and expect to behave in an uncouth manner, Facebook filthy pics and posts, brawls in public and expect to retain your job?
Get a reality check and understand that our actions have repercussions.
I know some would say they choose to be a teacher which is true and they should be able to handle things better than the average person. Let face it, if they all throw up their hands and give up and leave the system what kind of society we would have... a set of uneducated people. So we should/must be careful how we approach certain situations that relates to our children, our teachers and persons on a whole. Just reading this headline I got a bad impression of teachers and that is wrong.
We have to stick to the matter at hand and see it for what it is...stop deflecting and playing victim.
Choosing to physically abuse their charges is not an option. Choosing to portray behaviour unbecoming to their profession is not an option.
They are entitled to freedom ( freedom to chill at a bar, freedom to release the classroom stress .. freedom to be them)
Why are we not bashing the politicians who are the leaders of the country with the way they speak and conduct themselves , especially at the House of Assembly.
Why are we not bashing the lawyers or court system for not being prepared for cases that needs to he dealt with.
Why are we not bashing the doctors who seems unqualified at the hospital and don't know how to diagnose patients.
Why are we not bashing customer service, especially in our government sectors.
But yet we speak so badly of the teachers who feed you'll hungry children, who has to provide supplies because you'll priority is about hair and nails, always have an excuse to check yoill children homework , but expect them to have good grades , don't have time to attend no meeting, but make time for all pot that knock.
You'll drop you'll children at the schools for 6:00 am to 6:00 pm and expect the babysitters to be there on you'll time.
We are becoming a society of ungrateful people that don't appreciate the effort of people.
Long story short , let the teachers be until you'll parents can be of a better example to the children you'll so claim to love.
And yes I state " claim"
If Social Services was effective in the V.I , alot of ayo would be lost of words and would not be behind a screen bashing the people that pick up ayo slacks.
Yes, we are all protective of our children, no matter where they are or their age, however, we also have to be able to handle disputes better by leading an example for the same children that we are trying to protect.
