Female arrested on suspicion of money laundering- RVIPF

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- A woman was reportedly arrested on suspicion of money laundering on Tuesday, February 7, 2023.

According to the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF), in a press release on February 8, 2023, Police executed an additional three search warrants and arrested the female on suspicion of money laundering.

It said the search warrants were executed as part of ongoing investigations into human trafficking in the Territory.

Female pending further investigations

According to the RVIPF, the female was subsequently released pending further investigations.

“The RVIPF can make no further comment on the matter,” the press release stated.

As investigations are active, persons are invited to contact Crimestoppers anonymously through its tipline 800 8477 or if overseas call 1-284-800-8477 if there is suspected human trafficking or you are a victim of this modern-day slavery.

Persons with information can also call the RVIPF directly through its three-digit access number 311.

    For as much as I see a lot of local brands are trying to wash dirty money by having branded products, doing hair and holding events. As as I see most now businesses are illegally founded. All of them should be questioned how they began and proceeded accordingly.
