ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- With David Lim opting not to pursue a third consecutive title at the Deloitte-Ogier BVI Sunrise Half Marathon, it was Julius L. Farley who claimed his third title, adding to his victories in 2021 and 2017.

The 20th edition of the Deloitte-Ogier BVI Sunrise Half Marathon was held on Saturday, November 15, 2025. It took runners and walkers from the A.O. Shirley Grounds in Road Town to Smuggler's Cove on the western end of Tortola.

Men's Category

The experienced road runner Julius L. Farley overhauled early leader Jermaine A. Ricketts, aka 'JJ', to win the half-marathon in a time of 1 hour, 30 minutes, and 54 seconds.

Oliver Terry finished in second place with a time of 1:34:22, while Ricketts secured third place at 1:36:28.

Twins tie!

In the women’s category, Katrina A. Lindsay, aka 'Kat', and her twin sister Gayle J. Lindsay shared the women’s crown.

The siblings finished in 1:40:54.

This marked Kat’s seventh consecutive title and was the first tie in the event’s history, and the first twin-tie, a feat that may never be repeated. 

Close to 100 participants

This year, the race attracted a significant number of participants, who took to the roads in the early hours of the morning.

96 runners and walkers completed the 21-kilometre race.
