Farley & Lindsay triumph over the ‘Beast’

- win race four in Hauteville 5k series

PARAQUITA BAY, Tortola, VI- Julius Farley continued his dominance in the Hauteville 5k Series with victory on the course known as the ‘Beast’ at Paraquita Bay, Tortola on June 1, 2019.

The course takes the route of the 2-mile College Classic’s, along the Agricultural road, but runners then complete a loop of the Marine College around the infamous 'Beast'.

Farley was able to hold of the pursuit of training partner Jermaine Ricketts to finish first with a time of 20:24.3 while Ricketts crossed the finish line in 20:56.1.

Joceran Gichuke was third in 21:53.5 .

In the Women’s Division, Katrina Lindsay ran unchallenged to take victory in 21:24.8. Lindsay was 3rd overall.

Rosmond Johnson was a distant second in 25:04.3 while Cate Barbour took third with a time of 25:54.3.

Farley and Lindsay have already sealed their series titles.

The final race of the Hauteville 5k Series is the Dual Carriageway Dash Finale and National Championships on July 6, 2019 from 7:00am at the AO Shirley Mondo Track in Road Town, Tortola.
