ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- He might very well still be sporting his trademark bow tie but Travis Walters aka Travie Rozae is promising an energetic performance as never seen before when he headlines the Follow The Movement’s 5th Annual Top 7@7 Music Awards Show on March 3, 2012 at the Multi-Purpose Sports Complex.

Speaking exclusively to Virgin Islands News Online via telephone from Atlanta, Walters said his home crowd can expect to see a new person than what they are accustomed to seeing. “They can expect a whole different person, a far more energetic performance as never seen before,” Walters said.

According to the talented Virgin Islands artiste, who recently released his first single “See Her in You”, he was honoured to be given the opportunity to be the first Virgin Islander to headline the Awards Show. “To be the first Virgin Islander to headline this show makes me feel very appreciated and I am very grateful to be given the opportunity.”

He also said he has been busy working on getting his act together for the show next month that he has hardly had time to get home sick. “Ever since I got here we have been focussing on this show so I have not really had the chance to sit and miss home.”

With some four labels expected to arrive for the show it is the hope that Travis Walters, as well as other artistes on the night would be able to impress the distinguished guests and possibly land a record deal.

These individuals include Devyne Stephens, who is an American Record Executive and musician and Kevin Hall, an executive Vice President of Creative at Universal Music Group. Also assessing Walter’s performance will be Aaron Schuck, who is the Director of A&R at Atlantic Records and Shawn Holiday, who is the senior Vice-president of Interscope.

Meanwhile, Walters said his experience in Atlanta with R.A.Y.D.A.R. Entertainment has been a welcoming and wonderful experience for him. “R.A.Y.D.A.R has not only been about business, they have welcomed me like a family. I have been able to learn so much no only about me and my voice but all about the business of music.”

R.A.Y.D.A.R Entertainment is the talent management agency that selected Walters to be part of its superstar moulding programme.

And as the time draws near for the red carpet affair, ticket sales have been picking up and more persons have been enquiring about their availability. According to President of FTM, Craig Lake, tickets could be purchased at Bolo’s Department Store, Delta Petroleum and Exquizit Clothing.

The other guest artistes accompanying Walters for the Top 7@ 7 Music Awards would be Verse Simmons, who is known for his hit single “Boo Thang”, and Rock City out of the US Virgin Islands.
