ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Speaking in an exclusive interview earlier today, August 3, 2012, with International Reggae Superstar Junior Reid, fans for tonight’s Reggae Nite performance were told to expect that there will be a lot of “good vibes and good music” which has been kept away from the people over the years.

With excitement building up for tonight’s show, the Reggae star who has come to the Virgin Islands for the very first time said “We are all one blood so we should live in love and unity.”

“Tonight,” he assured, “it’s going to be a movie... It’s gonna be a movie, it’s gonna be a history.”

Reid, who has been in the entertainment industry since 1978, comes with an extensive catalogue of hits, some coming from his very own label, JR Productions. He comes with an extensive crossover appeal, evidenced by tracks including his very own “One Blood”, “This is Why I’m Hot” and “Rapapompom”, some of which he re-did when he collaborated with hip-hop artists, The Game, Mims and Lil Wayne. The hardworking artist, who writes all his own lyrics, says he has never taken a vacation. He added that the audience can also expect a sneak preview of his newly released mix-tape, “Kingston Fire House” and will also have on show new singles “Crazy and “Lonely Girl”. His performance, of course will be expected to include his hardcore reggae hits as well. Considering all this, the fans at tonight’s Reggae Nite Festival should be in for nothing less than a delectable treat.

Junior Reid will be performing alongside the One Blood Family, Ju Ju Blood and Big Moe, two of his sons, as well as Ms Chin, a new artist added to his label. Two of his other artists Wadda Blood and Andrew Blood, usually a part of the entourage, are currently on tour at this time and therefore could not be in attendance.

Ms Chin, a rising star in the camp, has been performing as a singer and dancer for the past five years and has only just released her first track on the label. The attractive artist, said fans should expect an exciting and spicy treat when she delivers “Girl pon di side”, her new song which is a track laden with innuendo and mystique about being with a man who is married and has his wife yet has a girl on the side he can call his sweetheart, hangout with and have fun.

Ju Ju Blood, who will also be performing his Hits, “Some Boy” and “Come My Way” said the crowd will be able to experience some of his “new material and lots of entertainment for the young people”.

In a surprising and unexpected twist, artist, Laza Morgan, famous for his hit song “One by One” has also been added to Reid’s act. Morgan said that he’s “just here to do what I do, give them a great time”. “One by One to the world, you know what I mean?” He promised to introduce his new song as well, “Gimme Little”, asking the fans to also keep an eye out for the new video which will be released shortly.
