MIAMI, Florida, USA- Former Managing Director of the BVI Ports Authority (BVIPA) Oleanvine Pickering-Maynard will now be sentenced on June 6, 2024.

Pickering-Maynard, who pleaded guilty to cocaine conspiracy charges as part of a plea deal with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) to testify against former Premier of the Virgin Islands Andrew A. Fahie, was set to be sentenced on April 26, 2024, in a Miami court.

It is unclear the exact reason for the most recent postponement. Pickering-Maynard was initially slated to be sentenced on August 21, 2023, but her sentencing hearing has faced repeated delays.

Her son, Kadeem S. Maynard, was sentenced on November 20, 2023, to 57 months in prison for conspiracy to import cocaine into the United States.

Fahie to be sentenced on June 25, 2024

Meanwhile, Mr Fahie, who is facing a minimum of 10 years imprisonment, will be sentenced on June 25, 2024.

Fahie, 53, was found guilty on February 8, 2024, on charges of drug smuggling, money laundering, and racketeering, after he was arrested at a Miami Airport on April 28, 2022.

@jack. It is sad, that our people in high positions have been caught up in greed. It is now the price they will have to pay for their freedom, and when they get out they will be senior citizens, except the son. I hope they have learned their lesson that money can't buy you happiness if it comes from ill gains.

look at all of these politicians in the british virgin islands with their sick minds. they are mentally emotionally and psychologically and psychiatrically ill. no wonder the territory of the british virgin islands is in a big mess with drugs and guns and crime and violence. we british virgin islanders living in the usa are suffering. all of our college tuition has gone to waste and we are living on the streets poor and needy and downtrodden. we are homeless and jobless and penniless. we bvi islanders living here in the usa can no longer trust our own politicians in the british virgin islands and we cannot and do not trust anyone here in the usa either. you are sick and tormented people and every other bvi islander is living a tortous hell here on earth for 22 years or more. look how you criminals for politicians in the british virgin islands have ruined everything for every other british virgin islander.

The only good thing to come out of this is, that they will all be slimmer and trimmer when they come back home. Blood pressure down, diabetes gone, feet, back and ankles will not be so sore.
