They want Cruise ship passengers and visitors to come with these deplorable roads, no running water and they don't have shit for them to see or do here besides beach and every Caribbean island have beaches.... focus on really building up the BVI and creating activities and an environment to attract and entice people to want to come back and recommend the place.

People come to the Caribbean FOR the Beautiful beaches and turquoise clear waters and relaxed environment hospital environment. Put your focus on preserving the natural beauty of these waters, and not junking up the place with trashy stuff.

Bahamas no longer pays to play the cruise industry game and rarely sends any big contingent to these annual waste of money shows. But they still get the most cruiseships every year. How? We pay over $300k just to play at Seatrade and FCCA and then pay another $150k to participate at the shows. So Kye couldn’t meet with the Cruiseship companies here in BVI? What the meetings about? Because it is Romney and Fahie and the RTW family who gets the ships. Govt done give away the berthing rights for the next 20 years. The head tax can’t change. So what these meetings about? What we getting new?

We have the best beaches, we have the worst roads, the best views from the hills, but the stinkest city.. The best taxi men and the most boring city..

They do an excellent job promoting the BVI. With a little help from some others. Anything that would really ruin
the tourist trade money coming into the BVI, is swept under the rug, denied, not answered to, and so on. Of course
by BVI personell, but also by well placed people in the US and UK to make sure national or international news does not run a story, conservative or liberal media organizations. If certain BVI insiders have hurt someone or stolen their property they brought with them when they actually MOVED to the BVI - well we can't have that going around.
Bad for business. Fortunately for the BVI gliteratti, they have friends in high places in London and Washington and
a few billionaire agents as managers nearby. Of course the risk of retaliation by those who were victimized, is not discussed. But if that did happen, the BVI could still be saleable even if it is glowing green. I gave you a lot of green when I lived there. I will give you more.

Pier park is now no different from all the others in the caribbean....how many jewelry stores are there now.??? when tpp first opened they had a wide range of different and interesting shops...passe gers used to always comment on that.
BVI was the ONLY pier park to keep charging rent through lockdown and beyond...driving out the smaller operators to be replaced by the same jewelry stores who can afford to ride out the rent and the slow summer months.
Pier park is now a boring place for passengers to walk around..its just another place they have to go through to get to the taxi rank..
go there when no ships in you can cou t on one hand how many other tourists go in. only thing bring locals n are the food shops and coffee.
    such a let down

What is wrong wtih this young man? To sell WHAT EXACTLY? If there is a group anywhere in the world considering the BVI to host an event, any event for 100 people, THEY CANNOT!!!!! Lack of airlift and hotel rooms, NEXT!! So, yea, what are we selling? The place is a complete fucking mess, no real development (apart from Long Bay and a few outer islands), for over 20 years. We should be ashamed! Things at home are horrible yet we have 20 people in Miami all expenses paid talking about selling BVI? Seems like you guys sold your brain to pay for the trip. Absolutely shameful! God bless our maritime side of things and the sister islands, otherwise BVI would be completely fucked!

Ask them for a list of all who travel, don't mind the picture, there are lots more who went on that free trip with NOTHING to offer the BVI!

Who wants to come here. Broken roads sewerage system f**caked and spilling out into the streets. This Government so focused on cruise ships! What do they actually spend. A drink a tour and a fridge magnet.
What about our sailing capital of the world. Maintenance, captains, chefs, office staff.
    Are we really that dull!!

The BVI Tourist Board has one job and that is to promote the destination. Roads/Infrastructure ect falls on the elected Government that is in power. As far as things for Tourists to do, we the people need to have enough sense to see what business journey we can embark on that would make good Tourist attractions and earn a passive In the process.

I often say there is something wrong with the people who we usually send to promote the BVI. Its either we are sending the right people to talk to the wrong people at these shows or we are sending the wrong people to talk to the right people. We are spending thousands on a delegation at these trade shows and you never really see any results. We can brag about our numbers all we want quarterly/yearly but our numbers should be doing better. I say sent the correct people on these mission and stop wasting money on these intitled fouls representing us on these shows. Start with the tourist board employees who uses these trips for shopping and living big life in these expensive hotels.

BVIs has become like one of those clubs with long lines to get in. After paying a cover charge, you find that drink prices are jacked up, and there’s not much there. The bouncers are there to keep the line long so it looks like a happening place.

Just deal with the known issues, look at BVI Charter Chat and see the number of complaints and people saying they will not return as they are fed up with boaty ball, dinghy thefts, poor infrastructure, congestion at the Baths, airlift - it goes on and on.

need to pay more attention to attracting the over-night visitors

Focus on improving air-travel into the territory especially from the european market

Stop the regular Talk and improve the runway and airport building

The current Administration needs to focus more; refrain from using the tax payers funds on entertainment

Shelling out our money to the Various Artists from outside, while the place needs fixing

Fix the place for all of us them spend a few dollars on the entertainment

Not all of we into fun & games: running our land is a very serious thing
