Mr Holyfield, who is in the Territory on vacation, paid a courtesy call on Hon Fahie and his wife Shelia. After the meeting Hon Fahie in a short statement said “my wife and I had the pleasure of greeting and meeting with the 4-time Heavyweight Champion of the world, Evander Holyfield.”

The First District Representative added “his visit to the Virgin Islands (VI) is timely and a positive…especially in the post Hurricane Irma era.”

Champion attended church for his blessings

On Sunday January 14, 2018 Mr Holyfield was a guest at the New Life Baptist Church in Duffs Bottom where he arrived after 10:00 AM at the Save the Seed Energy Centre where church is being held since the destruction of the church building by hurricanes Irma and Maria.

Later in the evening, he socialised with residents at Captain Mulligan’s at Nanny Cay, Tortola where both tourists and locals posed for photos, including Jay T. Archibald, a local contractor.

The ‘real deal’ Holyfield is expected to meet with Premier and Minister of Tourism Dr The Honourable D. Orlando Smith (AL) today January 15, 2018 and will depart the VI on January 16, 2018.
