WEST COAST BERBICE, Guyana- Information reaching our newsroom is that a teacher of the Senior Division of Elmore Stoutt High School (ESHS) has been involved in an accident that left one person dead in Guyana.

According to reports, the accident occurred around 4:00 am on Saturday, September 24, 2022, at DeEdward Village, West Coast, Berbice.

Information reaching our newsroom states that ESHS English teacher Colin Bynoe was reportedly the driver of one of the vehicles involved in the collision.

One of the occupants of the other car involved was killed in the accident.

Mr Bynoe, who is originally from Guyana, reportedly escaped without serious injuries.

    Teachers are regular human being. The man probably had a family emergency. The media needs to realize being involved in a situation where life was lost can be traumatic for anyone. Sometimes you all need to be sensitive about what you are reporting
