'Erratic' man jumps overboard @Wickham's Cay 1; Dies

WICKHAM'S CAY I, Tortola, VI- A man was pronounced dead shortly after jumping overboard at a marina at Wickham's Cay 1 in Road Town today, October 13, 2023.

According to reports reaching our newsroom, the man was seen behaving in an erratic manner before jumping overboard.

He was subsequently pulled from the waters and taken to Dr D. Orlando Smith Hospital but was subsequently pronounced dead.

Police have since confirmed the death of the individual.

"Police responded to a report of a male behaving erratically at Village Cay In the early hours this morning October 13. The male was transported to Dr. [D] Orlando [Smith] Hospital for treatment and was subsequently pronounced dead sometime after his arrival. Investigations are active. More information will be provided as necessary," Police stated.
