Eric Cameron pleads guilty to beating a fireman

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- US Virgin Islands native Eric Cameron was on Monday May 30, 2016 remanded to prison after admitting to assaulting a Virgin Islands fireman last year April.

Cameron is due for sentencing on Friday June 3, 2016. He appeared before the High Court where he pleaded guilty to grievous bodily harm.

During the conduct of proceedings in the Magistrate's Court it was disclosed that Cameron and Avery Malone had a confrontation over money on April 18, 2015 on Waterfront Drive.

The court heard too that after the confrontation began Cameron allegedly retrieved a baton from his pocket which he used to hit Malone in the head and legs.

The court heard that Cameron was hurling expletives at the victim during the assault.

Cameron is said to be a former fireman with the Virgin Islands Fire and Rescue up to 2014 when he moved back to the USVI.

        @SB, not really, some people will give you a beat down for less than a dollar. I think he got the beat down because he took to long to pay back.
