ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Word just reaching our news centre is that a man who was reported missing for over 24 hours was found alive earlier this morning August 22, 2021.

Relatives posted on social media on Saturday morning, August 21, 2021, that Augustine Mark, 64, was missing from his home. They said the man was ill and had "problems with his memory" at the time of his disappearance.

The matter was also reported to police.

According to our information, the senior had recently suffered a stroke and had extreme difficulties walking without the aid of a walker.

Our newsroom was told that neighbours, who assist the family by checking on Mr Mark every morning and evening, visited the home yesterday but noticed the man was nowhere to be found and his walking aid was still in the house.

Extensive searches were done throughout the neighbourhood and surrounding communities but yielded no results.

According to reports; however, Mr Mark was found alive early this morning.

Details of where he was located and his health status are sketchy at this time.
