PARAQUITA BAY, Tortola, VI- Work on the recently recommissioned East End/Long Look Sewerage Project is progressing smoothly.

Already, the project has seen the completion of a force main pump line that extends from Long Swamp to the Paraquita Bay wastewater treatment plant.

This was made known by Minister for Transportation, Works and Utilities Hon Kye M. Rymer (R5) on his Facebook page today, August 29, 2021.

‘Works continue’- Hon Rymer

“Works continue in the Fat Hogs Bay area in continuation of our phased methodology. We apologise for the continued inconvenience as we work to complete this national project,” Hon Rymer wrote.

The project, also called the National Sewerage Project, was officially re-commissioned on October 30, 2020, having been delayed for several years.

It is designed to give the East End/Long Look areas their first public sewerage system.

Ok great job your making head way n head lines but couldn’t the company who’s contracted to do the paving wash off the sand n mud debris so the asphalt could actually hold properly instead of doing rush work for a photo op mr Rhymer . It’s best to do the job the right way the first time instead of having to do it 5times n still do it wrong

You sending the public over them hills again and you refuse to fix the edges of these unpaved roads that you all seems to forget. Remember people have rights and when people keep hurting people pockets with foolishness of not making roads conducive to traverse you are opening doors for the enemy to play.

Think on the poor people who can hardly make ends meet. Mechanics should not have to benefit from your negligence.

Seems like you all don't traverse those hills.

If you don't do, they will say you lazy, and incapable of the salary you get. if you do, they will say you are showing off, or they would find something negative thing to say, because they are not for you.
Please vip, continue on the sewerage pipe laying, Long Swamp to Paraquita Bay. Thank you.

Isnt the sewage plant out of commission?

You're right. The treatment plant hasn't operated for ages. Everything bypasses the plant and goes into the sea.

The EE/LL sewerage project was started by the VIP government not finished. When the NDP came to power in 2003 to 2007 they improved on it, not finished.
The VIP regained power in 2007 to 2011. Work was done on the sewerage system, not finished.
2011 the NDP regained power. Work was done on the sewerage pipe laying of the EE/LL sewerage project, not finished. The NDP government was re-elected in 2011 to 2015. Soon after that I wrote a letter to the NDP government, and asked that the government to complete the ongoing EE/LL sewerage project, not finished. February 25, 2019 the VIP government regained power of the government. Work is on going on the EE/LL sewerage project. Please, I humbly beg some among us to give the VIP government our unified support in their attempt to finish the EE/LL sewerage project free of random, and unjust criticism.
Question: Do it served in your best intrest to know that filthy sewerage waste water continuing flowing on the roadways of districts (D7 and D8/ seven and eight?

WTH is this nastiness? What kind of patchwork is this you all so desperate to drop photo ops to say you did work you caption this? The road dusty as hell which is a health hazard for the residents and businesses in that surrounding areas. Before you all embarsse this country any further with tthese poor marketing schemes, try post presentable things.
