E.E./LL Community police bridges gap, drives business enterprises
This past Saturday, community officers led by Acting Inspector Jacqueline Tom, set up tents and tables in the parking lot next to the East End Police Station for businesses to display local craft and specialty items to include crafts, sweets, and jewelry offered by businesses in the 7th and 8th district.
Eight businesses took advantage of the Business Drive which was free of charge.
Since its relaunch, community officers have also spearheaded several Family Fun Nights in coordination with the Chamber of Secrets Girls Club, Movie Nights for families, the annual Christmas party, Back-to-School Giveaways, Mother’s Day, and Father’s Day events.
These officers are also actively participating in school assemblies, youth forums, community meetings district beautification projects, reading programmes, resolving disciplinary issues in schools, offering business security advice, and are committed to building bridges with the community.
