EAST END, Tortola, VI- Police are reportedly investigating reports of a bar in East End, on the main island of Tortola, found breaching the curfew in place last night, April 16, 2020.

According to reports reaching Virgin Islands News Online (VINO), shortly after word began circulating that another person had tested positive for COVID-19, police swooped down on the bar that had allegedly entertained persons for “a drink to calm the nerves.”

Reports are that the owner of the restaurant resides in the same yard as his business and shortly after hearing of another confirmed case of the virus in the Virgin Islands, anxieties peaked and he allegedly allowed persons to visit the bar.

Police did not immediately respond to request for a comment on the matter, including whether any charges have been laid.

I remembered the Magistrate giving this individual a tough time getting his liquor license to the point where he had to hire a lawyer to intervene, to turn around and screw up! Shaking my head in disbelief.

A drink to calm their nerves? There is plenty of soursop trees in the BVI, go boil a pot of soursop bush tea. That will calm your nerves.

Talk to Jesus, He will calm your nerves. Stop drinking for relaxation. This is a great time to connect with Jesus your creator. I am sure he longs to talk to many of us.

When the stores open again for shopping, buy your own liquors, stay home and drink it, then you can calmly go to sleep and stay out of trouble. Your nerves will be calm when you wake up. This man just ruined his alcohol renewal license.

Totally agree but I will not hold my breath. This is a strange place and not all that glitters is gold.
