ECVA hosting National Referees Volleyball Course in VI

- course's conclusion coincides with ECVA Senior Championships in VI

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The Eastern Caribbean Volleyball Association (ECVA) is hosting a National Referees Course in the Virgin Islands (VI).

The training in the VI is part two of the three-phase training programme, bringing together officials from across the region. The programme has been designed to raise the standard of officiating in volleyball.

The online sessions took place from July 21 to August 6; classroom instruction began on August 10 and will conclude today, Tuesday, August 11, at the Multi-Purpose Sports Complex in Road Town, Tortola. 

Practical & Senior Championships combined 

The Practical and On-court training will be held from August 12 to 16, during the ECVA Senior Men and Women Championships, which is also being held in the VI. 

Participating officials are from Dominica, St Kitts and Nevis, Sint Maarten, Grenada, Saint Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Antigua and Barbuda, Montserrat, St Eustatius, The Virgin Islands, Bermuda, and Anguilla. 

Brian Charles and Reginald Williamsburg are instructing the National Referees Course.
