DYAS VI Summer Camps returning for 2023 – Hon de Castro

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Minister for Education, Youth Affairs and Sports, Hon Sharie B. de Castro (AL) has today, May 29, 2023, announced the 2023 return of the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports (DYAS) VI Summer Camps for students on Tortola, Virgin Gorda, Anegada or Jost Van Dyke.

In a Facebook post today, the Minister said children and adolescents will have an opportunity to have exceptional experiences at this year's 2023 camp.

Hon deCastro added that the initiative will also help to enhance social, critical thinking, problem-solving, digital and life skills of students. 

Grassport Sports & STEAM on agenda 

Additionally, students will be engaged in grassroots sports development that fosters core values like discipline, teamwork, leadership, and sportsmanship while learning and having fun.

The Minister encouraged parents to sign up their child or children for the program with registration forms available from tomorrow at DYAS, or it can be accessed via the QR code on the flyers in various camps for registration in areas such as S.T.E.A.M. and Sports or the genreal camp.

The program will run from July 4-31st 2023, and open to 5-16-year-olds at various locations across the Virgin Islands, “We are looking forward to an active, fun-filled, and educational summer! See you soon campers,” Hon de Castro added.

      Why you don’t put him in the seat. Since it’s him that stop the summer programmes I guess you want him back to stop them again so you could make some money on summer programme yourself!
