Driver injured in 2-vehicle collision @ Baughers Bay

BAUGHERS BAY, Tortola, VI- A two-vehicle collision in Baughers Bay, on the main island of Tortola, today, October 28, 2019 has reportedly resulted in one of the drivers receiving injuries and having to be taken to hospital.

The accident, between a pickup truck and a taxi minivan, occurred around 4:30pm in the vicinity of Island Sizzle and Lyndon’s Bar.

From all indications, the pickup truck was proceeding on to the main road when it was hit by the minivan.

With the accident occurring at the beginning of rush hour, traffic has become a nightmare in that area.

Police are on the scene conducting their investigations.

    Rush hour don't mean you have to rush. Slow your roll people. The poor gentleman who had to be taken to the hospital, I wish you well and hope it is not too bad. Stop the speeding and tailgating. Accidents can be limited. Be safe everyone.

    BVI People need to consider car pooling and the implementation of a proper and reliable public transportation system. All we are doing is contributing to air pollution with all these vehicles on the road (and more still coming) and general unsightliness with the derelict vehicles that are not disposed of properly.

    every time coming out of baughers bay they are always ppl who park right at the side of the road making it hard to see when coming out and vehicles coming from east
