'Drink the Booth Dry' last lap event to close off Emancipation Week 2022

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - As the curtain comes down on the 2022 Emancipation celebrations in the VI, a 'Drink the Booth Dry' evening party is being pushed as the final emancipation event under the Virgin Islands Festival & Fairs Committee.

Opening from 8:00 pm tonight, August 6, 2022, at the 'Yampie' Festiville village with no scheduled close time, the event will feature Entertainment by the Drive Squad and Hashim Tha Dream.

Other entertainment will come from OMG Live along with Vibe DH Millennium King. 

Admission is free and Virgin Islands News Online (VINO) encourages all patrons to drink responsibly.

    “Drinking the Booth Dry” seems to encourage irresponsible consumption of alcohol. We can do better than this.

    Next up, “Hangover September” and “Dry October”.

      I am disgusted at the theme of it. Alcoholism is a social ill in our society. I have seen people slowly and ultimately lose themselves entirely to liquor. You who have seen a loved one, friend or SO can empathize....I just cannot believe this was marketed this way...sad!
