Wheatley called for Support – Dr Titley-O'Neal

“I will be honest with you because most of you who live here and even those that know me in Tortola, I am not someone that is easily jolted but when butch called me and said listen, you’re up,” she said she was move and honoured to take the calling. 

According to Dr Titley-O'Neal, having other relatives in the race did not stop her from throwing her support behind the VIP candidate, “A lot of us have some family and friends that are seeking political office on February 25, but many of you would not know that I actually have seven family members seeking political office this election,” she revealed to those gathered at the rally.

“Coincidentally, every single one of them that running in this district is a family member, I have two on the stage tonight, I have Butch and I have Shereen… Luce is my cousin and I have two [others] in NDP 1 and another 2 in NDP 2,” she said to loud laughter and applause.

“For me to leave Netflix on a Sunday night, to come to my first political rally should tell you that this isn’t no tom-foolery, it is a critical time for my people of the BVI and that is why I am here,” she said.

Critical Crossroad

According to Dr Titley-O'Neal in encouraging the district to stay vigilant, “the BVI right now is at a critical crossroad, this election will either make us or break us and that is why I am here… I want the people of Virgin Gorda and Anegada to move in one direction, we been on pause for too long and I want us to move Forward!” she said.

“I want my people to realise their potential and be the best they can be but we can only do that if you’re with Wheatley, I came tonight to tell you why I am voting for Butch, let there be no questions about it,” she said.

In pointing the vast public service and business experience of Mr Wheatley, she questioned, “Who would you want going to any table to be doing any negotiations if they don’t have how the government actually works?”
