Dominican travels home to attend uncle’s funeral but dies in motorcycle accident

WESLEY, Dominica- A young man from Dominica who was living and working in the [British] Virgin Islands tragically lost his life in his homeland after being involved in a motorcycle accident on Monday, August 21, 2023.

According to reports reaching our news centre, Kevin Matthew, succumbed to his injuries this morning, August 22, 2023.

Information reaching our news centre is that Matthew was riding a motorcycle in the area known as Wesley when he reportedly became involved in the accident. No other vehicle was reportedly involved.

Reports are that Matthew, who worked as a plumber at a well-known construction company in the Virgin Islands, had recently travelled to Dominica to attend his uncle’s funeral.

The Management and Staff of Virgin Islands News Online express condolences to the family and friends of the late Kevin Matthew.

      A very plesant youngman. My neighbour. He was not afraid to tell persons when they were doing something wrong. He hD a truck snd jeep here in tortola hopefully the family can get it sorted begore the vultures fight over then. I understand that while he was in hospital before the family turned off the respirator theyceere fighting over his house and belongings.
