DOJ releases Epstein Files containing allegation Trump sexually assaulted minor girl
FREDERIKSTED, St Croix, USVI- The US Department of Justice released additional records related to Jeffrey E. Epstein on March 5, 2026, including previously withheld FBI interview summaries containing allegations by a woman who accused President Donald J. Trump of sexually assaulting her when she was between 13 and 15 years old. The documents were made public amid continued scrutiny of Epstein-related records and congressional pressure for broader disclosure.
According to the files, the FBI interviews took place between August and October 2019 and summarize statements from a woman whose name is redacted. In the interviews, the woman claimed Epstein introduced her to Trump in the 1980s during a trip to New York or New Jersey.
She alleged that during the encounter Trump forced her to perform oral sex, stating that she bit him in resistance.
The woman first contacted the FBI after Epstein’s arrest in 2019. In her initial report, she said Epstein began abusing her around 1984 when she was 13 years old in Hilton Head, South Carolina.
During later interviews, she expanded her allegations to include Trump. According to the summaries, she told investigators the alleged assault occurred in a “very tall building with huge rooms” and involved physical force.
The Justice Department said the files had not been released earlier because they were “incorrectly coded as duplicative.” The explanation came after congressional Democrats questioned why the documents were missing from earlier releases under the Epstein Files Transparency Act.
The accusations remain uncorroborated, and Trump has denied them.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said the claims are “completely baseless accusations, backed by zero credible evidence.”
No charges
According to the documents, the woman stopped communicating with the FBI after four interviews. No charges were filed.
The release adds to continued scrutiny surrounding Epstein’s network and individuals who had social connections to the financier. Trump has previously been identified in earlier Epstein-related records as having social ties to Epstein but has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing or knowledge of Epstein’s crimes.
The disclosure also comes during a period of escalating international conflict. The United States and Israel are currently engaged in an intensifying military campaign against Iran. According to reports, U.S. forces have carried out more than 3,000 strikes inside Iran since February 28 while Iranian retaliatory attacks have targeted Gulf states and Israel.
House Democrats, who opened an investigation last month into the withheld Epstein documents, have accused the Justice Department of potentially covering up records. The DOJ has rejected that claim, saying the omission was the result of an administrative error.
The broader Epstein records database mandated by Congress continues to be updated as investigations proceed.
