VALLEY, Virgin Gorda, VI – Virgin Islands Premier and Minister of Finance, Hon Andrew A. Fahie (R1) has warned the people to guard against ‘idle talk’ of persons proclaiming that nothing was done for the Sister Islands and Tortola under the Fahie administration.

Premier was at the time speaking at the February 17, 2022, official rededication of the Vanterpool Administration Building to the people of the Sister Island.

“So when you hear talk that nothing has been done, I want you to do not argue with anyone when they say nothing is done in Virgin Gorda or Anegada or Jost van Dyke or in Tortola in the middle of the worst pandemic [when] we had to make adjustments,” he added.

“But when they say there was nothing done, don’t argue with people like that, starve your distraction and feed your focus and simply book an appointment for them down by [Tortola] Vsion Centre because they are blind,” Hon Fahie added.

The Premier pointed to five major administration buildings repaired under his government which include the Theodore Faulkner Building in Anegada, the Albert H. Chinnery Building in Jost van Dyke and the Flax Building, John George Sr Building, and now the Vanterpool Building on Virgin Gorda.

Hon Fahie said the people of the Sister Islands will now be able to conduct Government business right on the island and not have to travel all the way to Tortola.

Meanwhile, Premier Andrew A. Fahie (R1) said Virgin Islanders continue to benefit from local building and construction projects.

The Premier reiterated that locals have to ability to be transparent, accountable and execute their own projects despite the beliefs of some who would disagree.

Is that what you call it? This is setting the record straight when others with nefarious intent keep spewing nonsense in the media. I mean the blind ones who drive on rehab roads, drive pass building, walk in the dead of night like day and complain.
