ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - Delivering on its promise that with Digicel, your credit really does last longer, Digicel BVI today unveiled a range of incredible new calling offers that see all prepaid Digicel customers benefiting from a wealth of choice and increased savings.

The new Free All Ova is a lineup of bigger and better plans allowing customers to talk or text more for less. The offer consists of a minimum talk time followed by FREE minutes as a part of the same call – giving up to 60minutes talk time for the price of a 5 minute call.

Digicel BVI CEO, Declan Cassidy, commented; “We looked at our current plans and asked ourselves how best we could reward customers for doing what they do anyway and we came up with Free All Ova.  These plans give free minutes and SMS to customers meaning that everyone can talk more for less. For example, a one hour phone call to a local Digicel number will cost 95c or 60 SMS will cost just 45c. At Digicel, we understand that not all customers are the same and, with these offers, we are delivering on our continued commitment of giving our customers what they want.”

The plans are structured to offer maximum savings, with a one hour local call now costing 83% less than before –almost a $10 saving.

Cassidy continued; “All customers deserve to get the biggest bang for their buck and by offering these incredible savings our customers can now stretch their credit further, which in these tough times is very important.  This is why we have also included a Magic Number where a customer can select one number to make free calls to.”

It is not just local callers that will benefit, as the plans also include regional Digicel numbers in the Caribbean, plus international numbers to specific destinations.  The plans are simple to use and involve no short code – it is just dial and talk.

Customers can avail of the increased calling values in the following ways

Call 5 minutes to a local Digicel number and receive 55 minutes FREE, on the same call

Call 10 minutes to a Regional Digicel number* and receive 20 minutes FREE, on the same call

Call 10 minutes to the USA, USVI, Puerto Rico, Canada and UK Landlines and receive 20 minutes FREE, on the same call

Send 5 SMS to any network locally or Digicel Regional and receive 55 SMS to that number FREE, with the same day

Magic Number – top up $15 or more and get the same value in credit to talk to your favourite number.

Of course, all of these new plans are underpinned by Digicel’s superfast 4G Mobile network which sees customers surfing, streaming and sharing more. With an investment of over $7million in network improvements and upgrades over the past 12 months, Digicel is committed to delivering the best network to its customers across BVI and anticipates launching an even faster LTE network once it receives Government approval to do so.

The new plans went live at 12.01am Thursday  the 5th of September.
