Wow! Its a very serious incident and hope that he have a full and speedy recovery. There's a need for a more secure method of climbing and been on these poles. Dont they use bucket trucks anymore

And it would make more sense if all cables (electricity & phone/internet) were installed underground.....

With the state of maintenance the BVI does, water and electricity don’t mix. Poor civilians better not step in a puddle

This one of the reason bvi EC insist that the cable companies plant there own poles so they would have no need for their workers to be climbing power line poles.

So will there be an investigation into this unfortunate incident that luckily resulted in this worker surviving what could have been a fatality?

Glad he is alive, but isn’t this happening more frequently to an in the past (working at heights) that more attention should be placed on safety for these specific works?

The company need to give them rubberized PPE, gloves, shoes, overall. No one should be on those people risking their lives for TV installation. Ensure your employees are covered with life insurance, aircraft lift, if the worse should happen.

These telecommunications companies need to stop using BVIEC pools and get their own. Otherwise we will have more of these kind of accidents and even worse trust me.
