ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- In a ruling made by the Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (TRC) in the Virgin Islands, a decision which was made to revoke the Caribbean plan from DIGICEL, is said to be a difficulty but does not stop operations, as DIGICEL’s recently appointed Country Manager (CM), Declan Cassidy, said business must continue.

Exclusively, discussing his personal views on the decision made by TRC, Mr. Cassidy said that the ruling is unfair but business must go on as usual.

“What I can say is that DIGICEL still has the most competitive rates in the territory and we are currently reviewing what new and exciting plans we can bring in the very near future also.”

He added that the company is currently seeking a judicial review.

Regarding another decision made by TRC, alleging the anti-competitive behaviour of DIGICEL, Mr. Cassidy said these existing problems and accusations will in no way affect the way DIGICEL operates and relates to its consumers.

“It is business as usual at DIGICEL where we have to continue to ensure that our customers get the best value for their telecommunication needs.”

He went on to say “recently, on July 6th, we gave all of our prepaid subscribers, $15 free top up as a thank you for their continued loyalty and support. It was also used to highlight our fantastic offer whereby any subscriber who tops up by $15 or more from Monday to Friday receives $100 free in calling credit. On the back of this, we are giving away $30,000 with our summer cash vault promotion and continue to offer the best data rates in the BVI.”

CCT like man daddea, plain and simple the man dem kno they can't compete with thier bs service. I mean come on now, they still defending GPRS and don't even carry Black Berry service. The best thing they have going for them is double top up and the freedom plan.. Being obviously Inferior to the other companies i don't think it's fair to Penalize them for being... Well, better :3 If anything CCT need to let themselves be Bought out by Lime. I fo that!
