Despite slap from House of Commons, VI will celebrate Queen's Birthday!

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - The House of Commons has passed an amendment to the Anti Money Laundering Bill to make only Caribbean Overseas Territories like the Virgin Islands (VI) have public registry of beneficial ownership for offshore accounts.

This is a move that will destroy the Territory’s economy, if enacted, and will leave thousands jobless, homeless and in poverty.

The British crown dependencies of Guernsey, Jersey and the Isle of Man are not required to comply. Premier and Minister of Finance, Dr The Honourable D. Orlando Smith (AL) has described this move as “unjustified and discriminatory."

He said the vote on May 1, 2018, in the House of Commons in the amendment to the Bill is “a fundamental breach in the constitutional relationship and modern partnership between the United Kingdom and the VI."

Celebrate those who are about to kill us?

Despite this move, where the Territory has to spend millions more on lobbying efforts, the VI is gearing up to celebrate the birthday of Queen Elizabeth II come Saturday, June 9, 2018.

All costs are shouldered by the local government, according to a Deputy Governor’s Office senior officer. However, Deputy Governor David D. Archer Jr., speaking to our newsroom, disputed that. He claimed that it is “cost sharing, where the Governor’s Office itself pays for the reception and local government pays for the activities surrounding the parade.” However, Mr Archer Jr did not clarify if it was still local Governor’s Office budget funding.

The Queen is expected to sign the bill that will destroy the VI economy and way of life.

According to a government spokeswoman, Colene A. Penn, “The parade begins at the Noel Lloyd Positive Action Movement Park and concludes on the vacant lot behind the Central Administration Complex on Wickham’s Cay II. Participants will include uniformed bodies, youth organisations, schools and service clubs.”

Noel Lloyd turning over in grave?

A Janet C. Williams, who often comment to our newsroom said, “What an insult to Noel Lloyd that they are taking this through his park in light of what is going on…we are now celebrating the people that is about to destroy our economy and violate our human rights.”

At the June 9, 2018 Queen's Birthday Parade, the United Kingdom appointed Governor, Augustus J. U. Jaspert will inspect all units of the parade, following which there will be a march-past, the hoisting of the Governor’s Standard and the Royal Salute given in honour of Her Majesty, according to a Government Information Service (GIS) press release.

Following the Bill's passage on May 1, 2018, many in the local political class have called for independence from Great Britain.

this is nothing new; I am almost 60 years and I grew up seeing this queen celebration: as a matter of fact back then was one of few times we heard or saw the governor dressed in his all white while inspecting the members of police force....it is traditional

Yes, and that is one tradition we need to get rid of. The audacity that we must exist for the pleasure of the queen and her heirs for the rest of our lives. Are we not human? If you prick us, do we not bleed? strupps.

Sick of this bulls..t. These damn reptilians terrorizing the planet and dumb ass niggers continue to worship them. I bet when Andrew and Orlando return from England they have a soft stance on the Financial Services Issue. Rothschild Zionism feels that they are entitled to every ounce of gold, every drop of water and every blade of grass on this planet.Their Looney Tune Drama in Syria is at the root of what is being forced on us. It's all about enforcing sanctions against Russia and the Assad Camp which includes Iran and China, Hezbollah and others. The Overseas Territories in the Caribbean facilitating trillions in Foreign Direct Investment must be sifted like wheat. Check the DRAMA when Andrew and Orlando return. Anyone who sees the Big Picture knows that there will be no change in UK's decision...they must do as instructed just like the USA...The Synagogue of Satan is running the show, Rothschild Zionism will stop at nothing to establish their One World Government....One World Religion....One world Army and one World Currency.....so here we are with Problem Reaction Solution as the recipe. The question here is " does BVI Leadership understand the depth of their involvement in this mess.

Don't blame the Queen for UK politics. She is the Head of State and Government neutral at all times. If you have rage about the financial services bill, direct it at the UK parliament through your elected officials, it has nothing to do with the Queen.

Just request a referendum and vote for independence so BVI can 100% Govern itself and its affairs. The UK will grant it if it's the will of the BVI people.

Bull....Not the queens fault? She is neutral? Her family the so called royals represent Europe, all of it and every sector. She is the head of state and know damn well what is going on! You are her (the u.k.) supporter so you go parade and march for her. Never did and never will celebrate my oppressors. Yes, we need to go independent so we can govern our own affairs.
