Deputy Governor threatens legal action over Mika Barry claims he is Gov’t Official 1
On the Mika Barry 3 Days Special Episode 3 published March 15, 2024, it was mentioned that “someone in Florida who is deeply involved” in Andrew A. Fahie’s case has disclosed that Government Official One “is perhaps the Governor, David Archer…”
According to court records concerning the arrest and prosecution of former Virgin Islands’ Premier Andrew A. Fahie, Government Official One was also involved in drug smuggling in the [British] Virgin Islands.
'Propaganda & inaccurate sensational' video- Deputy Governor
Deputy Governor Archer in a statement today, March 18, 2024, said it was brought to his attention on Friday, March, 15 2023, that a “propaganda and inaccurate sensational” social media Facebook release of a Mika Barry video “labeled me (David Archer) through a likeness photo of myself and exact words, as “Confirmed Government Official 1”.
“Let me categorically and empathetically refute, denounce and factually condemn and deny this defamatory, slanderous, libelous, and vicious attack on my good name and reputation. Equally the erroneous statement is also an attack on the reputation of my office in which I have served with honestly and integrity for the past 5 years. The false statement also has the ability to bring the Government of the Virgin Islands in local, regional and global disrepute.”
Mr Archer reminded that the Virgin Islands Computer Misuse and CyberCrime (Amendment) Act, 2019 (Electronic Defamation) Section 14B (1) states, A person commits an offense if he or she defames another person using a computer. Section 14B (2) states, A person who commits an offense under subsection (1) is liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding one hundred thousand dollars or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding three years, or both.
“Defamation of one’s character is therefore a serious offense and one which I do not take lightly as it impacts my name, profession, and reputation.”
'Remove the video & issue me an apology'
The Deputy Governor added that he is also aware that many persons are ignorant of the law on this subject noting the popularity of social media.
“Therefore, I am pausing briefly before pursuing actions against the noted defamatory video by Mika Barry to allow the author and producer to correct the inaccuracy, remove the video and issue me an apology utilising the same mediums (Facebook and Twitter) by which the video was shared by the close of business on Tuesday 19th, March, 2024. Failure to do so by the prescribed time will trigger my action to pursue accountability for slander and defamation through the appropriate legal medium.”
Mr Archer Jr strongly advised the public to become familiar with the Virgin Islands Computer Misuse and CyberCrime (Amendment) Act, 2019.

Baszha is definitely not Govment Official 1 but he was well aware of the entire runnings to entrap the former disgraced Premier.
Enquirering minds want to know and more persons to fall from their grace but with the few dots to connect and those cases that are pending with the district 6 rep and his former ministerial officer who is out on leave can bring a little light to the matter.
We have evil people in high positions in the Virgin Islands.

But if Mika don't comply what can save Mika from that hefty law suit? And when the law suit is happens the identity will finally be discovered.
His lawyer should have advised him differently (if he consulted one) before he put out this article.
I did not know one could pursue legal actions against a video. I am not familiar with the law but I doubt that it says that. The person or company to be sued has to be named. If the person is unknown, then discovery has to take place to uncover their identity. Even if he knows who it is, you cannot pursue legal actions against a video.
There needs to be justice, and for them not to be prosecuted already either hints to it being an institutional actor or familiar favor pulling face like past police officers.
This is a cancer on society besides the undercover DEA informants and plain clothes police connected with who knows along with UK ‘intelligence’.
You can no go out and make a friend today because people are being paid to inform and spy on regular citizens without any justification.
