ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - Construction work to rehabilitate the dilapidated Estate House #2, commonly known as Oleander House, located in the heart of Road Town, has entered a new phase following the completion of the demolition phase.

The Virgin Islands Recovery & Development Agency (RDA) reports that demolition work at Estate House #2 has now been successfully completed, marking an important first step in preparing the site for its next chapter. With the site now cleared, initial design work is actively progressing.

"We extend appreciation to No Limit Construction for efficiently delivering the demolition works to advance this project forward. We acknowledge TigerQi Architecture for advancing the design phase, including the submission of an inception report and two preliminary design sketches,” the RDA stated in a Facebook post

Design development is underway

The RDA added that a preferred concept has been selected, and design development is now underway.

This redevelopment project aims not only to enhance the working quarters for judges but also to revitalize the area, contributing to the overall improvement of government infrastructure in the Virgin Islands.

Furthermore, the Recovery & Development Agency stated that the project will result in a future home for a senior government official, supporting the preservation and continued functional use of this important public asset.
