FAT HOGS BAY, Tortola, VI - It was late June 2023 when it came to the public’s attention that the home co-owned by Demion Percival, a former Taxi & Livery Commissioner who turned talk show host, was in foreclosure and being sold by the National Bank of the Virgin Islands (NBVI).

In less than 24 hours after the foreclosure issue was made public, his friend and controversial talk show host Ms. Cindy Rosan made a public appeal for about $30,000 to help save his home.

They made the successful appeal on the Morning Braff  Show hosted by Floyd Burnett ‘aka’ Heritage on Tola Radio 100.5 FM.  The public was told by both Ms. Rosan and Mr. Percival that roughly $30,000 was needed to prevent NBVI from selling the property.

Where has the money gone?

Mr. Percival is a co-host of the Morning Braff radio show on Tola Radio and is known for being an unapologetic critic of government officials.

After the appeal was made, with a special radio show telethon, the team raised the funds as the public had pledged some $30,000 from persons in the VI and even overseas.

After this, Mr. Percival told the public that he was “extremely grateful to everyone who donated to save my home” and added that political victimization is the reason he has been without steady employment.

Home back on the market!

Many residents thought this matter was put to rest, however, on Friday, August 18, 2023, the NBVI returned the property for sale via a Facebook posting.

It is unclear what went wrong and why the home is back on sale after money was raised from the public to save the home and prevent the sale from happening.

Both Mr Percival & Ms Rosan could not be reached for comments up to publication time.

That was always the question. What will he do to save his house going forward.? Question that was never answered... Thought he is working with Tola Radio. Or this is just another attempt to try it again.. It won't work again..

Round two plead for 65k this time and this should keep it of the market for the next 6 months for sure he had forgotten about the late charges . Now lazy man government is not the only source of employment in the BVI so stop saying you victimized you are a slugger to lazy and want eazy work , you use to talk so poorly of taxi drivers and you didn't had the sense to give yourself a license in case for times like this you let your own self down you to nuff. Humble and have respect you never know when you will need that hand. For does that donated first he needs you again this time Dig deeper and come through for the man. He always talk about transparency explain what happened to the money donate to the donors. Can't wait to hear this.

I don’t think people were duped, I think the money stopped the sale, but Mr. Perceval did not pay the next payment on his mortgage on time, which would put him back in the red. That would be the only logical reason. I very much doubt he took the $30,000 which would land him in jail. Be patient folks, it will all be explained.

This time we need to pay off the mortgage so that foreclosure would never again be an issue. Heritage needs to up the pay as well. It is clear that the current salary for running his mouth isn’t enough to pay to bills.

People have enough to deal with. The media should know when there is a line that should not be crossed. To rejoice in someone's misfortunes because of their political beliefs is so stupid. We go on about slavery but we care nothing about our own. This just did not need to be announced. The country in a mess. Talk that.
    • At enough (20/08/2023, 09:19) Like (12) Dislike (3) Reply
It’s announced as the people who donated I’m sure are wondering if helping their own went in vain.
So yes, it is news. No I didn’t donate but the public requires answers.

Many questions: were the pledges fulfilled? Talk is cheap, did they pay? If his income were insufficient to pay the mortgage before, can he keep up with it now? If he can't afford the house, why doesn't he sell it?

Never understood blaming the government for not having work. What other avenues has he pursued?

Damian is a little boy trapped in a man's body or he has mental issues. Did anybody look at his show on Friday? He said it himself, he don't wanna grow up. He said he is a Toys'r'us kinda guy and eating Cheetos and behaving like a child. His family and friends should help him with his mental state of mind so that he can progress in life. Grow up and take responsibility for your life
