ROAD TOWN, Tortola , VI- Delta Petroleum (Caribbean) Limited has broken ground in Nevis where it is constructing a State of the Art Flagship Service Station. The station is ideally located in the area where the new Horsford’s Valu Mart is situated.

"This service station is one that the people of Nevis will enjoy as it will be the most user friendly station," stated Island Manager, Ms Sharon Hobson.

The Service Station is one that brings modern day users to the market. Features of the Service Station include, automated dispensers, double safe short off mechanism, complete Delta Petroleum Official brand, Double filters on every dispenser, emergency shut off and shut down, longer opening hours, free air and vacuum service, hand held credit card machine and much more.

Regional General Manager, Bevis Sylvester said he is very excited about this project as it shows Delta’s commitment in investing and growing the markets that they are a part of. He went on to say that this is one of the major projects that Delta will be undertaking in the Nevis market. “We are committed to Community Enhancement and we firmly believe that an investment in the community is an investment in the future of Delta Petroleum,” reiterated Sylvester.

"The main focus is to ensure that this state of the art service station brings comfort to all our customers and that it is very accessible and convenient to all."

Meanwhile Managing Director, Vernon Lake, a Nevisian by birth, feels that all of this would not have been possible without the late Dr. Simeon Daniel, who was very instrumental in Delta’s success in entering the Nevis market.

“When the Government was faced with a fuel supply crisis that is when Delta was able to ‘step up and step in’ this market and Nevis has never had a fuel problem since,” stated Lake.

“Delta has since continued to invest and not only in Nevis but also in the Federation,” continued the Managing Director.

The Regional General Manager and Managing Director will visit the market in late October.

The new Delta service station is expected to open its doors to customers before Christmas 2012, according to Managing Director Lake.
