DDM monitoring 2 tropical disturbances in Atlantic

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The Department of Disaster Management (DDM) has said it is monitoring two tropical disturbances in the Atlantic.

Disturbance 1

Disturbance 1, according to DDM this morning, September 23, 2025, is expected to move across the Territory late today into tomorrow.

It said periods of heavy rainfall and scattered thunderstorms are likely, with an increased risk of flooding on Wednesday, particularly in low-lying and flood-prone areas.

Disturbance 2

DDM said Disturbance 2 shows potential for development later this week but is forecast to track northeast of the Territory by the weekend.
 
"At this time, no significant local impacts are anticipated."

Residents are urged to remain alert, exercise caution during heavy rainfall, and continue monitoring official updates.

    We urged the public to keep an eye on the BVI Weather forecast when planning to visit the beach and prioritise safety.

    Please focus on getting Mac Namara Road, the very Road to your resident concrete and fix, its in a very bad state right now, more rain, it will become unpassable, no water bad Roads what are you doing.?
