So I very much look forward to working in close cooperation and partnership with all branches of the Government of the Virgin Islands, the Executive, the Legislature, and the Judiciary."
He added, “I look forward to building close relations with all communities in the Territory and drawing from their insights as I set about my work. I will aim to be a Governor who is accessible to everyone, including all branches of civil society, public servants, and the private sector.”
The Governor also said he will engage with the Government of the United Kingdom, to represent the interests of the VI to the best of his ability.
“As Governor, I look forward to collaborating with all those who have the best interests of the people of this Territory at heart, in positive and productive partnership,” he said.

There is too much racism coming from the Authorities aka the UK in terms of legislation and how they wanted us to die in Covid-19
Too much bull shocka to put away the “white slave master” memory when it’s right in front of us today just less disgusting.
It’s hard to forget slavery would you like the Jews to forget the hallocaust ? Oh I forget hallocaust denial is a crime in Europe unlike denial of European transatlantic slavery.
Given the chance colonialism will take freedoms away because to them you are a subject of the crown. Examine the police bill and unnecessary debt they tried very very hard to push on the local system after our most devastating hurricane which was similar in power to a volcano.
When Covid came they wrestled for power over health and implemented a “inquiry” meanwhile they said for Boris J mr party gate UK government that ‘it is a pandemic an emergency for and no time for a commission of inquiry’.
Let that sink in. Oh but little bvi can deal with both a pandemic and an inquiry at the same time.
It is time for Virgin Islanders to call for a self-determination referendum and let the chips fall where they may , plan, develop, and execute a self-empowerment plan, create a paradise of progress, justice and equality , etc. The VI went off grant-in-aid in 1979 under the Dr. Williard Wheatley administration. Self -determination options include independence, integration, and free association. The UK has had control of the VI since 1672, so why can’t the VI free associate with the UK as the Cook Islands have with New Zealand? It can be part of the modern partnership , family taking care of family or family is just a self-serving term which is conveniently flinged around.
