Dagou & Serrant head list of Hon. Fraser League winners!
Dagou, who played for the Champions Ruff House, also picked up the award for Best Guard. He said he put his performances in the finals down to trust.
“I had good games and my team mates trust me to play the way I play,” he commented. “We played too relaxed in game 2 and let them get away, by the time we clawed it back we were too tired. So in game 3 we came out faster, which was what we planned to do from the start.”
Talk Done were named as the Regular Seaon Champions with their Coach Marshall Thomas named as Best Coach.
The biggest individual winner on the night though was Jevon Serrant who picked up trophies for Most Points, Most Steals and Most 3 Pointers. He was also named Best Forward with Rushawn Johnson, Regular Season MVP, All Star MVP and the Slam Dunk Champion.
Other Category Winners were Nigel Todman for Most Rebounds, Kevon Lettsome for Most Assists and Alward Forbes for Most Blocks ( joint with Todman)
Dashan Hodge was named as the other Best Guard and Kyle Abraham was Best Centre.
In the 9-12 Division, T’Quan Bodkin was named as Championship MVP after the Young Starz had swept the Junior West Gunners in the Final.
D’Aundre Penn took home the Most Points, Most Assists, Best Centre and Regular Season MVP Trophies. Eric Bobb claimed the Most Rebounds, Raphael Singh the Most Steals and Clifton Forbes the Most Blocks.
Isaiah Thomas and Malacki Smith were Best Guards, Kendall Davis and Kiandre Clarke the Best Forwards, whilst Chelcy Hodge won the Sportsmanship Award.
Best Coach was Dashan Hodge of the West Gunners.
