CAPPOONS BAY, Tortola, VI- Independent First District Candidate Mr Chad C. George will be looking to hit it out the park, considering his left hand is any good, when he plays in a softball game at Cappoons Bay Field on Sunday, April 16, 2023.

According to Mr George, a first-time candidate, his committee has organised some softball games to help fund his elections campaign.

Action will start at 4:30 PM.

‘Fundraiser’

“It is a fundraiser and food and drinks will be on sale

“The teams will be picked there playground style,” Mr George told our newsroom, adding that anyone interested in playing can come.

Mr George also noted that the games will be played using industrial league rules where the teams are mixed and the men bat with their off/weaker hand.

Asked if he will be playing, Mr George said: “Yes, I will be playing.”

Asked how his campaign has been going so far, Mr George replied, “It is going good so far…Getting a lot of positive feedback.”

Mr Chad C. George announced his decision to contest for the First District seat on February 17, 2023.

He will come up against Dr Karl Dawson of the Virgin Islands Party (VIP) and Sylvia C. Moses of Progressive Virgin Islands Movement (PVIM).

      Yea you vote for a guy who is a pastor but still in houses spreading lies on this same man. Oh forgot he has to spread lies because he is a failure every where he goes. He was fired from HLSCC and he was let go from the college in Anguilla, yet ah you want him to represent the district.

      They say that District 1 would still vote in Fahie if he stood. Well he did give just about every family thousands of dollars in his vote buying days

      Lets hope sense prevails and people see that the VIP are a bunch of crooks and shysters interested only in raping the treasury.

      Skeltons crew are a rag bag of failures.

      So as the best of a bad bunch I would be voting for Mr George.

    I was voting for this guy but when I heard the NDP Head encouraging people to vote for him because he is with them but they let him run independent to pick up NDP and VIP votes in the district has caused me to change my mind. I will vote for Karl. I will not be fooled.

    To first distric youth i quite agree with you your heart is in the right place these independent canidates fel we dont have sence they just poping up with there game play hoping if they win and cross with other party we cant be fool or bought NDP have the biggest gáme play ..
