Cyclist run down by car on James Walter Francis Drive
It is unclear what were the circumstances surrounding the mishap, however, photos sent to our newsroom showed the man's cycle partially under a small car.
Emergency Service Technicians (EMTs) were seen attending to the injured cyclist a few yards away.
Other cyclists were seen on the scene.
Police were also noticed speaking to the driver of the car involved.

Hon. Rymer this is why I am writing this. I wish to again bring to your attention that there are persons who are holding driver's licenses within the territory who have obtained them through fraudulent means. Here is how it works. These people are sold certificates of completion of written, cone, and road tests even though they have not taken the said tests (Some have paid between $500 and $1000 for these certificates of completion) The persons then take these certificates to the DMV where they go through the normal process of obtaining a drivers license. So how do these people obtain these certificates and how is the process so easily done? Sir, start internally then work your way to the persons who are resonsible to ceritify the completion of these tests. When I see accidents like these where perosns are injured I cannot keep quiet. Dont atke my words for it people out there know what I have written here is true and names are known. Thsi have been going on for a long time know but start with persons who have obtained there drivers licence within the last two years. Asked them the date they took their tests, who was the agent who ceritfied thier success and the name of the driving school they went with. I hope VINO will print this.
I also had a passion riding scooter responsibly around the BVI to clear my mind but again I concluded that the risk out weights the benefits. It appears and there is a perception that virtually everybody riding a scooter is a nuisance to the public, even if you are wearing your helmet and following the rules.
I do not know what happened here Noh am I judging the driver, but clearly there is no one educating the public about what to do when they see someone riding on a bike and what precautions to take to avoid knocking them over.
