Cristiano Ronaldo scored a life goal.

Ronaldo has married his longtime partner, Georgina Rodríguez, the couple announced. The couple shared a collaboration post on Instagram on Tuesday, Aug. 11 announcing their union. The post featured a photo of their hands on top of each other with wedding bands and the caption "C (heart emoji) G."

People reports that the soccer superstar, 41, and the influencer, 32, got married in a private civil ceremony in Cascais, Portugal, that was attended by Ronaldo's five children. The youngest two are the couple's children; Ronaldo had three children before his relationship with Rodríguez.

Ronaldo and Rodríguez met in 2016 when she was working as a sales associate at a Gucci store and he was a customer. They confirmed their status as a couple in 2017 and got engaged last August. Rodríguez gave insight into their relationship in the docuseries "I Am Georgina." Exactly a year before the day the couple shared the wedding post, Rodríguez posted a photo of her hand with a massive diamond engagement ring and the Spanish caption, "Yes, of course. In this and all of my lives."

Ronaldo played with Portugal in this summer's World Cup, his sixth tournament and most likely his last. The national team made it to the round of 16, where they were knocked out by eventual champion Spain. The five-time Ballon d'Or winner scored three goals in the tournament, including his first goal in a World Cup knockout match.

His season with Saudi Pro League club Al-Nassr begins this weekend and he has a chance to reach 1,000 career goals.
