TRELLIS BAY, Beef Island, VI- Creative Waves has teamed up with the BVI Airports Authority (BVIAA) for the painting of a mural at the Terrence B. Lettsome International Airport.

Artists are being invited to apply for the opportunity to paint the mural on the 123-foot-long wall at the airport, which faces the arrivals and departures section.

The mural's theme is ‘ASTRACT ART at the AIRPORT’.

“Artists are therefore encouraged to create an abstract, pattern-based, exciting mural, using flow lines, patterns, symbols and shapes. The finished work will be 123ft x 1ft.

A commission fee of $6,000 (to include materials) will be paid to the successful artist upon timely completion. The deadline for applications is Friday, July 25, 2025.

  • This is the opportunity I have been looking for! This project not only brings in income but also helps me leave my artistic mark in a public place with a lot of traffic. The abstract style request allows me to freely express my personality. Thank you very much Creative Waves for creating this meaningful playground!

The airport is the first door welcoming visitors to the BVI, so a mural themed 'ABSTRACT ART at the AIRPORT' will bring a sense of energy and creativity.

The airport will definitely stand out and attract a lot more attention when this project is completed.
