COVID-19 over sanitisation killing the ‘good germs’- Angelle A. Cameron

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - Former Mrs BVI Angelle A. Cameron, who also hosts the weekly ‘My BVI’ webcast talk show, has warned that an overabundance of sanitisation in the Virgin Islands (VI) as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic may be killing out ‘good germs’ vital to building immunity.

This she says can have a direct impact on the health of children, coupled with the fact that children are not as active as they once were and as such not as healthy.

Mrs Cameron was at the time Speaking on the July  27, 2021, edition of the My BVI show, alongside co-host Bishop John I. Cline.

“What I've noticed as a mom of three different age groups… is that potentially our children can now become vulnerable because they're not able to be active so they're not healthy as they should be,” she said.

According to Ms Cameron, constant sanitization as a result of the pandemic may also have an impact on the health of children, “They aren't... doing all the things that children need to be able to do and we're sanitizing everything so much.”

A little germs can build immunity - Cameron

“Please don't take this out of context, but a little germs help the body to build immunity and with our children growing up in this society where they rid usual good germs …you know I think it will eventually pose a risk and we're going to see a generation of not so healthy not by choice children,” she said.

Brett Finlay, a Microbiologist and Immunologist at the University of British Columbia in an April 22, 2021, podcast said from birth, humans coexist with bacteria, fungi, and viruses, and each has a different biological function.

“We've all been living in these cocoons last year, and we're not getting normal microbe exposure. A new kid born into this world, yeah they might not get a cold, but they're not getting all the other microbes that they normally also get if they went to daycare and things. … You're just not getting exposure to the normal microbes.”

He says these microbes and bacteria are also involved with how the brain, intestinal and immune systems develop.

No scientific data- US doctor

However, allergist and immunologist James Fernandez, MD, PhD, in an article in Cleveland Health on May 27, 20202, said  there’s no scientific evidence to suggest that temporarily stepping up your cleaning game is dangerous to one's immune health.

“For adults, in this time frame we’re talking about and the hygiene measures that we’re taking, I don’t think there’s a lot of clinical risk to our immune system,” he said.

The hygiene hypothesis

According to Cleveland Health, the belief that a lot of cleaning and hand-washing weakens your immune system was probably born out of something called the hygiene hypothesis. This is the idea that kids who are exposed to more viruses, bacteria and other pathogens early in life build stronger immune systems.

“This idea comes from observations that some developing countries where kids might be exposed to more pathogens tend to have lower rates of certain diseases such as allergies and asthma,” Dr Fernandez notes.

But there’s still debate around this hypothesis – and how much of a role personal hygiene plays. “Theoretically it makes sense, but there isn’t a lot of strong science behind it,” Dr Fernandez noted.

To reduce the spread of the coronavirus and other infectious diseases, the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends washing of hands with soap and water after being in a public place or after blowing nose, coughing or sneezing.

It said if you need to wash your hands but soap and water aren’t available, use a hand sanitiser made with at least 60% alcohol.

The CDC has also stated: “Using alcohol-based hand sanitiser does not cause antibiotic resistance. ... Alcohol-based hand sanitisers kill germs quick and in a different way than antibiotics. There is no chance for the germs to adapt or develop resistance.”

Singapore has become the first country in the world to perform an autopsy (post-mortem) for a Covid-19 corpse. after a thorough investigation, it was discovered that Covid-19 does not exist as a virus, but rather a bacterium that has been exposed to radiation and causes human death by coagulation in the blood.
Covid-19 disease has been found to cause blood clotting, which causes blood clotting in humans and causes blood clotting in the veins, which makes it difficult for a person to breathe because the brain, heart and lungs cannot receive oxygen, causing people to die quickly.

To find the cause of the shortage of respiratory energy, doctors in Singapore did not listen to the WHO protocol and performed an autopsy on COVID-19. after doctors opened arms, legs, and other parts of the body and carefully examined them, they noticed that the blood vessels were dilated and filled with blood clots, which impeded blood flow and also reduced the flow of oxygen. In the body it causes the death of the patient. after learning about this research, the Singapore Ministry of Health immediately changed the treatment protocol for Covid-19 and gave aspirin to its positive patients. I started taking 100 mg and Imromac. As a result, patients began to recover and their health began to improve. the Singapore Ministry of Health evacuated more than 14,000 patients in one day and sent them home. After a period of scientific discovery, doctors in Singapore explained the treatment method by saying that the disease is a global trick, “It is nothing but a coagulation inside blood vessels (blood clots) and a method of treatment.
      Antibiotic tablets
      Anti-inflammatory and
      Take an anticoagulant (aspirin).
This indicates that it is possible to treat the disease.
According to other Singapore scientists, ventilators and an intensive care unit (ICU) were never needed. Protocols for this effect have already been published in Singapore
China already knows this, but it has never released its report.Share this information with your family, neighbors, acquaintances, friends and colleagues so that they can get rid of the fear of Covid-19 and realize that this is not a virus, but a bacterium that has only been exposed to radiation. Only people with very low immunity should be careful. this radiation also causes inflammation and hypoxia. Victims should take Asprin-100mg and Apronik or Paracetamol 650mg.

A little knowledge is detrimental to the human mind. You are way out of your league and now speaking a bunch of fallacies. You cannot draw conclusion to effect treatment on the autopsy of one body. Doctors the world over know that blood clots is one aspect of the many and varied covid manifestations. This is not news to the medical community. The majority of the covid cases with lung problems do not have blood clots but they all have inflammation of the lungs, collection of fluid in the lungs and so cannot breathe, so eventually they will need the ventilator to help them to breathe. You do not know anything about radiation so leave that alone. There are too many cock and bull stories around the covid thing that have no basis in science. What is going on is just a basic high school debate about covid and with the internet people can find anything to justify their beliefs without thinking is this practical, is this scientific, does it make sense.

Please upload the study that supports your absurd claim. Viruses (which need host organisms to replicate simply cannot be converted into bacteria (which do not need host organisms to replicate), anymore than you can expose grass to all the radiation you want but you won’t make a goat out of that. Speaking of which, what exactly do you mean by radiation? Deaths from Covid are respiratory related, not from coagulation. If you are not medically qualified, you have no business recommending treatments.

If one have a garden, and among the fruit trees many thongs, and a far less good weeds mingle among the thongs, those posibilty is that in you effirt to weed out the thongs some good weed cannot be saved. Would you allowed your garden of life-sustaining fruit trees to be stifled, because a few good weeds will be destroyed? You shouldn't but some ignorant peiple will.

Democracy these days has come to mean not that all people are equal under the law but instead has come to mean that all their opinions carry equal weight, even if many are uninformed or based on falsehoods and or unverifiable premises ( See akon comments above for example). Would you believe a surgeon or the butcher when it comes to your health? A diagnostic opinion of a qualified doctor is the not same as the opinion of someone without medical training who disagrees with the diagnosis. The opinion of a company director regarding how to run a business is the not same as that of a janitor. The legal opinion of a contract lawyer regarding leagl nuances is not same as that of the person who signed the contract. Your opinion that your car won’t run because the head gasket is blown is not the same as that of the experienced mechanic who tells you you need a new clutch. The wisdom of an older person is not the same as the often wreckless enthusiasm of youth. But FB, YouTube and social media will have you believe otherwise. Societies that reject bona fide expertise (by virtue of training, education, or experience) cannot prosper in the long run. Otherwise, let’s just do away with it all. Let anyone practice medicine without consequence. Let anyone design and build buildings. Might as well settle legal claims with a game of dominoes.

How and why is she curtailing her children’s activities? They can be out all day doing productive things that help them grow, learn and stay healthy. The assault on children is the junk food outside of the schools and in homes taken in daily instead of once in a while. This inhibits their learning and has led to the obesity problem we have. The absence of sports facilities and organised inter school events doesn’t help either. It’s a shambles.

This is something that was being discussed even before COVID. The advent of the internet has made lots of important items widely available to everyday people. It's nearly impossible to stop people from gaining acess as they'll just turn to the black market to get what they want.

Understanding how pathogens develope a resistance to cleaning and medicines is extremely important. The hygiene hypothesis is one way to explain the increase in autoimmune disease diagnosis.

We need to understand that too much of a good thing is also bad for us. There is such a thing as making an environment too sterile. You don't have to be a slob but you don't have to turn your house into an operating room either.

'Potentially our children can now become vulnerable because they're not able to be active so they're not healthy as they should be,” she said.
What is preventing your child or any child for that matter from being active especially in the Caribbean? Get them up from in front the TV, go outside and find a game to play (cricket, race with them etc). Take them on the beach, go for a walk and I can go on endlessly. Stop talking madness just for talking sake.
