ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Pastor and host of the Honestly Speaking radio show on ZBVI 780 AM, Mr Claude O. Skelton-Cline has called on persons in the Virgin Islands (VI) to take their COVID-19 booster shots as an added protection against the COVID-19 virus.

“I am boosted up and if they tell me I need another boost next week, I'm going for,” he told his listening audience during the January 11, 2022, edition of the radio show.

“And all of you who still talking nonsense about antichrist, and this is the way they will track me, then I will be thoroughly tracked,” he added.

While the local spike in COVID-19 cases has dropped over the past week, local health authorities are still encouraging eligible persons to get the booster shots to fight against COVID-19 infections.

Get vaccinated & boosted - Skelton-Cline

“I’m sure I done had it about two or three times, but I got tools to fight,” he said regarding the possibilities of double infections.

“I want to encourage all of you. Get vaccinated. Get your boosters, so that you have an army to help you fight.”

Meanwhile, the number of active COVID-19 cases has reduced to 1,220 from 1,387 cases as of January 14, 2022.

At a recent COVID-19 update, Acting Chief Medical Officer, Dr Ronald E. Georges revealed that persons who are vaccinated against the virus have milder symptoms and recover faster compared to unvaccinated persons who have a greater chance of having more severe symptoms and a longer course of infections.

Dr Georges also added that booster shots have been shown to reduce the level of infection and infectivity of Omicron by as much as 50% to 75%.

This guy had the two shots...got COVID and still doesn't think he's safe.

What more can be done for him?

Doctors in Europe are now expressing that too many shots could actually weaken the immune system. So at some points all these shots will be counterintuitive.

He has to make weekly statements to convince us he is working hard for his consultancy money. Well, that money is being wasted on him because I cannot see one thing he has done to help the territory. Blowing a lot of wind from him might blow away Corona virus.
