ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - In response to a charge brought against Devin Parsons by the Crown, he appeared at the Magistrate’s Court today September 12, 2012 where Magistrate Stephens dismissed the charge against him, as a result of a mercy plea from the Virtual Complainant.

Mr. Parsons was charged for wounding, to which he pleaded not guilty in a previous court hearing.

The alleged victim in the case, told the court that he never intended for the matter to reach this far. He stated “I didn’t really want any lock-up situation, just wanted police to calm the situation.”

He added “I just want the court to have mercy and give him a break, any injuries that happened already healed.”

The VC indicated to the court that this was a decision made by himself, without being threatened or bribed.

According to the VC, allegedly, on February 4, 2012, at Smugglers Cove Beach, he was picking coconuts when he and the defendant got into an argument and ended up in a “rumble.”
